The process of applying for a visa to a country is often anxious because not a few people whose visa applications are rejected. So, if your visa application is denied, what should you do?
1. Appeal
When your visa is refused, usually the embassy will tell you the reason for the refusal and what you can do afterward. Some countries give you the opportunity to appeal if you feel the decision is unfair.
For example, if you are applying for a partner visa (for a husband or wife who already has permanent residence in Australia), or your friend/relative invites you to visit them there for a vacation, then the invitee/sponsor can appeal to the Migration Review Tribunal if decisions made are considered inappropriate. If your visa is rejected, you can use the services of migration agent Bankstown, Hermis & Associates, they can assist your appeal process, and ensure that your submission goes appropriately.
Some countries also provide an opportunity to appeal. The distance between the rejection letter and the opportunity to appeal is usually between 21 and 90 days after the rejection letter is released.
2. Complete the missing documents
One reason for your visa application being refused is the incomplete documents. Some countries, such as the United States and European countries, give you the opportunity to complete your paperwork before processing your visa application.
Other countries usually give a few hours before and or after your interview schedule to complete the missing documents. While the US Embassy provides a fairly long period of time, which is 12 months since the rejection letter was issued. If you pass the 12-month deadline, then you must apply for another visa and pay the new visa application fee.
3. Apply for a new visa
For countries that do not provide an opportunity to appeal, the only option you can do is to apply for a visa again. However, keep in mind that some countries provide a distance for submission after a refusal before you can apply for another visa.
While some countries do not give a specific time for applying for a new visa, as long as you feel you can “answer” the reasons for previous refusals that are usually related to your attachment to other countries (can be from family, work, etc.), health reasons, financial ability, etc. But we recommend that you submit a new application at least 30 days after the rejection. Because of the time period is too short, the embassy will feel that there is no significant changes have occurred over the previous refusal, and a big chance of your visa being refused again.
4. Apply for a new visa at a different embassy
This method is actually not very recommended, because basically all the embassy data collection systems are integrated. Especially if you are detected applying for a visa in different countries in the adjacent period, then the possibility of your visa being denied again at embassies of different countries is the same.
Those are the four things you can do if your visa application is refused. Plan your trip carefully and surely your visa application process will be accepted.
